When defenseless human beings are being killed in our country at the rate of approximately 100 000 per year...I'm just going to say it: It doesn't cut it to be 'personally pro-life'. You have to do something.

Being pro-life is great. But what does that actually mean to you? Does it mean you check off the 'pro-life' box on a form, or throw, "I'm pro-life," into conversation? Because people: human beings are dying and women who buy the lie that abortion is the consequence-free choice are suffering.

Complacency is what's hurting the pro-life movement. Abortion is out-of-sight and quite honestly, most people have no clue about what an abortion actually does to a pre-born human. Just so we're on the same page, take a moment and watch these short videos created by Live Action describing 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimester surgical abortions.

These videos are hard to watch, but Live Action actually made them a whole lot easier to take in by not showing the baby struggling for it's life or reacting to what must be excruciating pain.

And yes, 3rd trimester abortion is legal and available in Canada as was recently demonstrated in Quebec where a woman aborted her 35-week-old baby. Abortion is legal up until the moment of birth in our wonderful country known for it's advancement of human rights. #WakeUpCanada

Which brings me to this legendary quote by William Wilberforce:

“You may choose to look the other way, but you can never say again that you did not know.”

So what are you going to do? And I get it, not everyone is cut out to join an organization, or fight for abortion laws in the political world, or open a maternity home. But everyone CAN do something.

We've put together a list of ways you can get involved with CHOICE42 and other Canadian pro-life organizations this year.

So now that 2017 is underway, please don't be complacent. This year we will lose another 100 000 Canadians, and if what you're doing for the pro-life movement is 'being personally pro-life,' well, you're really not doing anything at all.
